dimension tool quick settings

Not a standard, not a global setting, I just want precision and units to be a pull down setting in the mode bar for dimensions. That way when I'm doing a site plan for presentation I don't have to manually change my precision to "no fractions"

And when I'm dimensioning a bunch of graphics for print I can switch over to inches/cm instead of feet and inches.

After these dimension objects were created, I suppose they would be "Unstyled", would these dimensions ever become problematic again because of their lack of the dimension standard? You wouldn't need to change them all globally later?

(I'm not trying to argue the usefulness of the feature, I think its a good idea as many users often just want to change Units or Precision and are annoyed by having to create a dim std to do so. Just getting an idea of how you'd use it.)

unstyled I guess. I never thought about their "style" because to me, the precision and units are not part of the style as far as I can tell.

It isn't, you're correct. The Units are specific to the document, which I also think something that should be changed. Dimensions should be allowed to override document units rather than be slaved to them. Submitting request now.

Yes. As I have stated before we live in a world where metres, feet, and inches could very easily need to be in one drawing. They idea that the units should be standard per document is just a nice starting place. As is precision....
