Ragnar
Hi, this is probably a simple question but I just can't sort it out. I have several Roof faces that I want to Connect/Combine. This works great until I change one of the roof faces with the Push/Pull tool. Then they are no loger selectable with the Connect/Combine tool! I guess it turned into an object or such? Is there any way to remake it into a virgin roof face again? Without deleting and do it over again! If it's of importance, I use VW 2014 Architect on a iMac. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
There is no way to re-make a plugin object once it's been modified in such a way as to remove it parametric abilities, however, if you aren't too many operation beyond the push pull then you can use Undo to get back to the pre push pull state. FWIW I set my undos to 30 or more, and it's usually enough, but not always. Otherwise, you will need to recreate the Roof Face, or duplicate an already existing (similar) one. What is interesting here is that generally, when the user is about to perform a function/command that will destroy parametric abilities, there is an alert asking whether one wants to continue. I'm curious if the push pull invoked such a warning?? Quote Link to comment
AlanW
If you go Model Add Solids you get one item and to go back you just double click on the solid and you get back to solid addition and you can edit the roof faces again then exit out of Solid Addition.
