VincentCuclair
When I try to import a SketchUp file I get a dialog stating that the SketchUpWorker.exe has stopped working? What do I need to do to get it working? Quote Link to comment
VincentCuclair
If I try to start SketchUpWorker.exe directly from Finder (or what ever it is called in Windows) it says Systemerror because slapi.dll is missing?! Anyone? Quote Link to comment
AlanW
You should be able to just go import, choose Sketchup, browse to your file and double click and up comes Sketchup Import Setting, and all done. Edited April 22, 2015 by Alan Woodwell Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted April 23, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 23, 2015 Does this happen on more than one machine, but all of those machines with that language setting? Does the issue appear on any Windows 7 machines with an alternate language? I am unable to reproduce the issue here, but have had MANY random crashes where the common factor was the OS language setting. Quote Link to comment
VincentCuclair
Don't know, it works on my Mac which is 'Swedish'. (I just started at this office, they use Autodesk but I need to finish off some existing projects so I installed VWs on my office machine over there and subsequently got this problem, I'm not saying it is a Windows thing but I sure am getting a lot of small irritating jinxes all around giving me flashbacks to my time prior to Mac I'll try to set the language to English ad see if it helps...... VincentCuclair
Not really but related, all I needed to do was change the SketchUp file name to not have swedish letters and it worked....... Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted April 24, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 24, 2015 Could you post or email me the SKP file that failed to import with its original Swedish name intact please? I'll submit that as a bug. Quote Link to comment
Dan Hoffman
Following-up and adding on to this thread - it seems that something has changed in the file format used by Sketchup 2016, as I'm having the same problem and a similar sketchupworker.exe crash; trying the same file on a Mac results in no crash, but nothing imports. For giggles, I tried importing the same file into Capture Argo, and it too threw an error and considered the file corrupted. Nemetschek's aware of the bug - I have already corresponded with Tech Support about it - so hopefully we'll see a fix sometime! In the meantime, the workaround seems to be to save the file as a 'Sketchup 2015' or earlier file, which imports just fine. Hope this helps someone else who stumbles across the same problem! barkest
The general rule is: Save Sketchup to the version below the current VW you are using. SU2015 = VW2016 SU2014 = VW2015 If you don't do this then you will not see the geometry/model inside VW. It will be blank. Quote Link to comment
