Stacking Order Should Affect 3d Rendering

Kevin McAllister

Question

Given that a major workaround in VW is to lay objects over objects (ie. put a 3d polygon on the surface of a wall to add a graphic etc.) I wish that stacking order determined what was rendered in front of what. Having to move one of the objects a tiny amount to prevent rendering interference introduces extra lines and a margin of error that shouldn't be present in a CAD package.

That's going to be fixed.

I had not thought of the standard stacking order being used to determine which face "wins" in this situation (Which is called "Z Fighting" apparently) but I will check to see how it was/will be resolved and see if that's what they went with.

If not, will submit it as a new request.
