Symbol edit in Sheet Layer views

For editing 3d components of symbols . . .

If drawing is in Design Layer view and edit a symbol via right click in Resource Browser, then:

1. The symbol components display as wireframe in same view as DL.

2. The view pull down in the info bar is active.

3. Render modes are available.

All good.

If drawing is in Sheet layer view and edit a symbol via right click in the RB, then:

1. The symbol components display as Wireframe in Top/Plan.

2. The view pulldown in info bar is not active (but the flyover tool works).

3. No render modes available, wireframe only.

Limited. Why?

I wish for full function of symbol edit while in Sheet Layer views.

In a sheet layer, the Symbol edit window should be more like Design Layer edit window - Full functionality with option to return to VP.

Or are these limitations somehow useful?

Yes. I've actually bug submitted this. I'm not sure why it never gets addressed. (In a sheet layer the standard views can still be accessed in the View menu.)

That seems more like an issue than working as designed. I'll check the status and resubmit if it hasn't been addressed.
