Scripting an Export Command

Is it possible to include an Export command and define its parameters in a script? For example, I would like to Export Stereo Lithography with its file type set to binary and its export quality set to the highest setting. I've searched the forums and looked through the VS Reference but turned up nothing.

Our only options are exporting to DXG/DWG or PDF.

You can't do this directly with Vectorscript, but I think you can probably manage to do it with Applescript or a combination of Applescript/Vectorscript.

Easiest is probably to start with an Applescript and embed a Vectorscript to call up the Export SL command. Then use GUI scripting to click the buttons necessary to make the whole thing work. You can probably even make it enter a file name for you.

Thanks for your responses. Pat, I think I'll just leave it at this point. Wanting to export an STL using Vectorscript was part of a bigger idea which doesn't seem practical given this new information.

I really appreciate the advice.
