hip angles for roof faces of differing pitches

Is there an easy way to figure out the precise angle (in plan view) of two roof faces that come together at a hip, when the pitch of one of the roof faces differs from the adjacent one?

There is probably a mathematical equation I should know?.

But is there also VectorWorks trick or shortcut that does it for you?

Thank you.

I usually intersect the two planes (pitches) and look at it in a side view, then plot (with guide lines) the location of the intersection. Then transfer that to plan view, and draw (with a guide line) the resulting hip (or valley). I then edit the two planes shaping the edges to fit. I then take my diagonal guideline (representing the hip/valley) and move it around to all the corners where the same roof pitches meet.
