Bruce Kieffer
I placed a door not in a wall. How do I flip the swing, and how do I show the hinges? Quote Link to comment
taoist
Bruce, Click on the door you inserted to select it. In the Object Info Palette, click on the flip button till you get desired position See image Edited April 28, 2013 by taoist Quote Link to comment

michaelk
The flip on a door object is only available if the door is inserted into a wall. You can however Modify > Rotate > Flip Horizontal or Flip Vertical If you mean show the direction of the door in an elevation view, that's OIP > Settings > 3D Visualization > Show Interior / Exterior Marker But, knowing the kind of drawing you do, you might mean "show decorative hinges in 3D". If that's the case, I think you need to model the whole shebang. mk Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
Yes, the door is not in a wall, and rotate/flip horizontal does work. I keep looking of the darn flip button! And yes MK, I do want "real" hinges. I added them by jamming them, and I added miter lines in the corners of the casing (trim). Quote Link to comment
