taoist
Would add extra touch if we had the option to add Hip and Ridge caps to roofing. Quote Link to comment
0 CipesDesign
You can sort of do that already. Duplicate the roof in place, then ungroup the duplicate, then cut away (clip surface) from the resultant roof faces to leave only the caps portion. Then move the caps up, and perhaps make them thinner if desired. Also helpful to group the roof face caps to make them more easily editable/manageable. Quote Link to comment
0 taoist
Peter, Thanks I was thinking more along the lines of an option to the Roof tool. Should not have to go through the process you described. taoist Quote Link to comment

0 Guest
Im happy to share good ideas...like Viewport Presentations another good idea of mine......Brilliant ideas involving Data presentation and Analyis should be stripped out of files before export and only shown directly to clients in VW.Take it from me mate theres no money in Architectural presentations without the DATA presentation...LOL theres no money in certifying, analysing and developing flashings too. 0 Itchy
There is also the framing member tool, make a 2D polygon of the capping, and then change the type to custom profile and you have your roof capping with all the options of the framing member tool. Quote Link to comment
