Jim Smith
Is there some way to animate a Viewport so it appears to draw one line at a time, as if the computer was drawing the object? If so, can this be exported to Quicktime? Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Hi Jim, I believe you can do this by using a series of Saved Views (or RW's Cameras) then use the Create Animation command and specify each view (or camera), frame by frame. (NOTE: I have not tried this, but in theory it should work). Quote Link to comment
Jim Smith
Thanks Peter, That was the kind of thing I was thinking, but was hoping there was a button I could push instead. In the olden days of MiniCad when one rendered the effect was much like this. I've seen commercials where a BLUEPRINT is drawn by an invisible hand & with an invisible pencil. I'll have to experiment to see if I can get the effect of the line being drawn, or if it will just look like stuff popping out of nowhere. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Jim, I'm pretty sure there is third party software available that will do a live screen capture... Maybe someone else knows of the specific company?? Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Jim have a look at Ozcad's AnimationWorks add on for Vectorworks: http://ozcad.com.au/products/animationworks.php Quote Link to comment
