bcd
Instruments placed along a Lighting position with 12? hanging angle all fly at the trim of the LP rather than adjusting to compensate for the angle. Is this normal? Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Do the instruments have a 12? angle or the lighting position? If the position has an angle then you have to manually compensate for the different heights along the position. mk Quote Link to comment
bcd
The LP is at 12?, Shouldn't the instruments naturally follow? A wish perhaps? Quote Link to comment
michaelk
They don't follow the position angle. You have to add the 12? angle to the instrument and adjust the height. Sounds like a good wish list item Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted January 17, 2011 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 17, 2011 bcd, The easiest way to achieve the results you desire is to draw the truss flat and then use the "Create Plot and Model View..." command. This will allow you to rotate the lighting position and the instruments together. Quote Link to comment
bcd
Thanks for that klinzey, I'll explore this further - from first look it doesn't seem to change the hanging angle for the truss-lighting position for me but perhaps I'm missing something. Quote Link to comment
