Sheet borders

Can anyone using Ozcads Title Block Tool tell me what setting causes the unprintable area around the sheet edge to be shaded grey?

I have a sheet set up where this is the case - the fill and pen attributes for the title block are both set to none. But I can't replicate this in another file.

Terry,

I believe you're talking about the print margins set in Page Setup. Go to Page Setup in the File menu and then select Printer Setup. In the Paper Size drop down you can manage sizes and see the border settings for this document. If you have chosen a different page setup or page size this might't occur.

I've understand and have done all that J, but its the grey shading around the edge of the sheet I can't get.

If I change the fill attributes for the title block to solid I can see a grey area around the sheet, but this will be visible on the printed sheet

I think that the gray area you are asking about is standard on all sheet layers in Vectorworks. I don't know of any way to remove it, but I also have never seen a need to do so. For me it actually helps to define the printable area in a very fast and visual way.

You're right - it is standard on sheet layers and I agree - I like to see the grey area.

But I can't see why it is visible on some of my sheet layers and not on others.

Oh, now that's an interesting question. Could it be that some of your sheet layers are formatted differently (different page size? different printer?). Not really sure... Perhaps you can upload a file to look at which exhibits this behavior??
