M5d
Really like the new options to add view toggle buttons in 2011. One more button that would be nice as an option is Show Grid. Quote Link to comment
0 mike m oz
Totally agree. Having the grid visible when working in 3D is useful because it keeps you in context, but having it still visible when you do a check render is definitely not useful. Having to go through a dialog box each time to turn it on and off is tiresome. Quote Link to comment
0 bc
So Mike, Looks like the axes? Where's the grid? Quote Link to comment
0 mike m oz
bc you only see those axes when the grid is turned on. When it is turned off you don't, and that is the point. Whilst you are working in 3D it is useful to see the grid because it establishes context when you have rotated the view with the Flyover tool. When you render with the grid set to visible it can still be seen in the rendered view. See images below where I have the grid on and the 3D axes off. Having a toggle to easily turn the grid (and 3D axes) on and off would make working in 3D easier. Edited October 14, 2010 by mike m oz Quote Link to comment
