MattG
So I used autocad for a while. It did have some useful features. The explode block tool. Anyone know if vectorworks can do something like this? It would be equal to an ungroup, but of a symbol leaving the objects that make up that symbol in place on the drawing? Any help? M5d
Convert to group under the modify drop down menu. Once you have converted a symbol to a group you can then ungroup it. Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Be mindful that if it is a hybrid symbol or a PIO when you convert it to a group you will lose either the 2D part or the 3D part depending on whether you are in a 3D view or Top / Plan View respectively. If it is a hybrid symbol you may be better off duplicating the symbol in the Resource Browser and editing the 2D and 3D parts to what you want. That way you will retain the advantages of having a hybrid object. Quote Link to comment
