C W
I know this question has been asked but I couldn't find the answer just now. If I was working on a schedule with multiple items of the same type (W-1 x 5) what criteria do I need to set to count them only once so that my schedule doesn't count all the times a single "type" of window occurs? Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Select a row in the database and drag the SUM icon to the column that you want to sumerize on. Pat Quote Link to comment
TimG
This post helped me in what I am doing as well, thanks... but I had wanted to take CW's original question a step further... Is there a way to get the qty. to show in the row that is "summed" so it would show only one entry for w-1... but also show the qty of them in the schedule Quote Link to comment
Kool Aid
There is. Create a new column, insert this formula to the database header row: =1 Quote Link to comment
TimG
works great... thanks... however I just noticed that on my schedule it is also taking the sum of the width and height dimensions... so I have (two) w-1 @ 3'1" wide each, but the schedule is saying it is 6'2"... any way I can get it to not sum this value, but keep the sum of the replicated window label???? TimG
never mind.. .figured it out on my nOOby own... i just drag another instance of the sum icon onto the column I don't want summed with the rest and it does not sum it... very confusing... but at least it works, which is more important. thanks again Quote Link to comment
