Slow file opening

Recommended Posts

Not too long ago I had imported a couple of JPEGs that I incorporated into my drawing. I had them in viewports that were part of my sheet layers. Since then, I have deleted the JPEGs from the drawing. They don't even show in the resource browser, which is good. I don't want them in the drawing anymore. My problem is that every time I open this file now, I get a message saying "Unable to locate these JPEG files..." and do I want to manually locate them. If I deleted the JPEGs, why does it still look for them upon opening the file? How can I remove them permantly? Please help.

Thank You.

Scott,

Did you do a "cleanup" of the drawing to clean up non-used images? (Edit menu>Cleanup or something like that. I'm using the Dutch version so I'm guessing for the actual command name in English)

It looks to me that somehow the reference to the JPEGs is still in the document and maybe a cleanup will fix that.
