Is there a way of viewing all the layers/floors of a model (ie a house) at the same time without creating a viewport? I am trying to find a way to export our vectorworks model into sktech up so that we can do fly-round movies. However as when you export even into autocad all the layers end up on top of each other instead of at their correct height. ie ground floor, then first floor etc.

Im sure when i was learning vectorworks there was a way like linking the layers or something? I cant remember what its called therefore i cant search for it in help/manuals!

any suggestions in the best way to set up 3d models is most appreciated too!

You can make a seperate layer and layer link all the other layers. That's the way we do it so we can view our model.

Ok thanks. Any idea on how to create layer link? Ive just checked the help and i cant find the 'create layer link' button undo View menu!! not a good start!

You can also use Stack Layers mode to get the proper Z heights to display for models on different layers.

Thanks for that, think the stack layers is the way forward, had tried it, just not turned the layers on!

It should be there under the standard Architect workspace. If it isn't in your Workspace add it with the Workpace Editor.

Thanks. Have added it into my workspace... and also found a whole other world of commands i never new existed!

You can also use the Model View tool (Visualization menu) to set up Layer Linked views of your model information.
