3d solid objects connecting corners

I swear, this program is a pain. I'm just trying to connect the corner of 2 objects. I have created 2 extrusions. One a long board and the other a odd shaped board. Both have corners, but I can not get the corners to connect. FormZ was so much easier.

Before going nuts with judgement, remember that VW is a different program than FormZ, and it takes time and effort going through the many available resources to learn how to use it efficiently.

In this particular case, have you looked at the options available via the Constraints Palette? Ones like Snap to Object?

What do you mean by "connect the corners"?

Gads, I can't believe I had the same problem 5 years ago.

I upgraded to Vectorworks 2012 Fundamentals. The problem apparently went away or I finally figured it out 5 years ago.

Recently I created a 3d model and within the last couple days I can no longer snap onto a 3d object.

I'm able to snap to the extrudes and the lines.

Have you checked your smart cursor settings?

I don't know if this screenshot will help describe my problem. It didn't do this until just recently.

Until this problem came up I was able to determine the angle of a line by selecting it. Now I can not.

What are your computer specs? You should add a signature to your profile ( under my stuff above ). I've had some unreliability with snaps after upgrading to OSX Mountain Lion on a Mac.
