Christiaan
I get to the point where it asks me to choose a folder (presumably the VW applications folder) and it then crashes when I go to scroll down and choose the folder. Anyone else having the same prob? Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
A workaround is to put the VectorWorks folder in the Finder Sidebar. That way you can select it without having to scroll down in the installer. Quote Link to comment
Kevin
Katie is recommending not using 12.5.1 right now and sticking to 12.5.0. http://techboard.nemetschek.net/ubbthrea...=true#Post72195 Quote Link to comment

Petra
Baught a new Macbook Pro in may and had to wait until september to use V.W. 12 because of all the bugs. Then tryed the 12.5 a bit during the autumn with a lot of crashes, and now trying the 12.5.1 and bugs and crashes coming up again. Very very tired of this. Cannot fdo my work and paid a lot of money for something that has vnever worked. Not pleasent. Really dont know hat to do? Quote Link to comment
Guest
Petra, Is the updater crashing, or running 12.5.1 crashing? Have you run disk utility since updating to 12.5.1? Have you installed the 12.5.1 recent updater (1-19-07)? What error message do you get when you "crash" ? Quote Link to comment

Guest
Have you run disk utility since updating? Quote Link to comment
go2greece
yes. >verify disk permission and repair >>> i am using the mac disk utility no other >> two firewire disks are connected > one internal (2 partition) last but not least > i am working on a recoverd file, which was corupted by the old 12.5.1 updater (i guess) kalispera peter Quote Link to comment
unlurking
This is disturbing! I was going to buy two i-mac and VW licenses - but I can't risk sitting on brand new hard/software. I will hold off until this is resolved - sheesh! Quote Link to comment
Guest
Try other files and see if the problem persists. If it doesn't happen in another file, it's exclusive to that file and therefore a file related problem. Meanwhile, send the crash log to bugsubmit@nemetschek.net Edited January 23, 2007 by Katie Quote Link to comment
Kenn Bates
Katie: I updated to 12.5.1 using the 01/19/07 installer this afternoon. I was able to launch the program once without problem. I was adding some custom plant symbols to the file PLANT SYMBOLS.MCD when the program became unresponsive. I had to force quit. When I attempted to re-launch, VW is requesting a valid serial number. I added my serial number, and it is not be recognized. I have even tried some of my previous SNs for release and beta with no success. I have run Disk Utility for disk permissions and repaired a few problems. Still no success with the Serial Number. Where do I go from here??? Quote Link to comment
Guest
Kenn - Restart the computer and see if the SN problem goes away. If it doesn't - make sure no one else on the network could possibly have your serial number. If all that doesn't work, call Tech Support. Quote Link to comment
