Lee Rose
New here. 20 year + Autocad user. I'm wondering if there is a way to select and number channels in instruments. I see the "Number Instruments" in the Modify menu but that is just the Unit number. Anyone have a way to number channels quickly? I have a bunch of lisp routines for Autocad that allow me to pick a range of fixtures, give a start number and an increment value and voila. Love to know if that's possible in Vectorworks. Thanks Quote Link to comment
MrTemplate
Hello leerose: I'm not up to speed in Spotlight for vw12, but i can tell you that the tool you're looking for is available in autoplot, written by sam jones. (www.autoplotvw.com) He has many "manual ## assign" tools for units, channels, and so forth. HTH, shelley Quote Link to comment
chstech
I will second that comment from Shelley. You could create an Editable Worksheet OR, you can also select the instruments and use the "Find & Modify" command. BUT you might have to get creative to be able to select the fixtures you want. Cris with no H
An editable worksheet will be a quick way if you don't have AutoPlot tools. Personally, quickest for me is to export to Lightwright, setup my channel numbers and any other miscellaneous info, then import back into Spotlight. Quote Link to comment
