michael john williams
Can you have a door in a splayed opening with the splay on the inside and the door opening inwards? I may have posted this before but can not find it! Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted May 31, 2006 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 31, 2006 Splays can be on either side of the wall (or both). Quote Link to comment
michael john williams
But you can not have a splay on the inside and the door open inwards, can you? Splays on traditional buildings in the uk are normally on the inside and external doors open inwards. But can not do this in VW. Quote Link to comment
MKingsley
It can be done in the "Wall detail" tab of the door PIO and this is in Architect, I don't know about the fundamental version. However it seems they have the interior and exterior backwards in the settings dialog, IMO. I've always known exterior doors to open inward. But I'm in the US where many things seem to be backward these days... Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted June 1, 2006 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted June 1, 2006 MJW, fact that splays flipped with door orientation (instead of staying with wall orientation) was a bug in 12.0.1 doors and windows. Look for this to be fixed in our next maintenance release. Quote Link to comment
