2024- sp4 Edit Subdivision Tool creating incorrect geometry

Cody Worthman

Question

No matter which render setting or graphics quality I use, my edit subdivision tool creates incorrect geometry.  My circle shows up as a square; cylinders and spheres as cubes, and the torus & ring are both very faceted despite being my settings being on Very High. Aside from split & extrude mode, I can't do any other manipulation of the incorrect geometry.  Even on the geometry that was produced properly, the crease mode does not work.

Any advice?

Were the cylinder, sphere + circle created with an Iteration of 0? When you select those Subdivision objects what does it say in the 'Iteration' drop-down in the OIP? The higher the Iteration value the less faceted the objects will be.
