Face Front
I like the door ID tag ... but I don't like how it 'looks' on my drawings. The default location, when shown, is depicted 'across' or 'in' the door opening - see attached image with door IDs in 'green'. I understand the tag can be relocated, however, I prefer showing door tags parallel to the leaf - see attached image with door IDs in 'red'. I can relocate the tag horizontally but I can't figure out how to rotate it for a vertical orientation. Am I missing something to customize the orientation of the door ID tag? or does anyone have a recommendation on how best to extract the door ID to depict like this? 1 Quote Link to comment
Face Front
I think I sourced the best answer to this simply by using the Data Tag - however, it seems a superfluous step given the ID tag option within the standard door symbol. Quote Link to comment
Jeff Prince
It sure feels like built in tagging like this is being abandoned in favor of Data Tags. I’ve been telling my clients to switch to data tags to be prepared for the future and allow the flexibility they want now. Quote Link to comment

I agree Jeff, the Data Tags give a lot more flexibility and allow me yo create more easily the drawings I need. Quote Link to comment
Ramon PG
Love data tags, but there’s a need to uniform how one works with them to get the auto-numbering benefit. Quote Link to comment
