Simple render for Spotlight - Paperworks

Recommended Posts

Good morning.

I would like to enhance the quality of these "Shaded" viewports a bit.
They don't need to have an overly realistic look, but the result I currently achieve is far from reality; it's too "artificial."

To give you an idea, the best result I obtain is this:

And I would like to, at least, get a bit closer to the real colours.

How I can make it?

Additionally:

If you could provide some tips to improve the overall appearance of a render, I am all ears: Inserting a floor(?), placing it inside a room(?), placing everything on top of a riser(?)

Thank you in advance

I would certainly add a ground plane so they aren't just floating in the void.  The thing that stands out the most to me is the lasck of shadows and contrast.  You could go into LIGHTING OPTIONS and turn on Ambient Occlusion - that would help a bit.  If you wanted to go further, you could add some basic lighting to get a few shadows in there - just make sure you turn on shadows in Shaded View Options.

@EAlexander @Dave Donley
Thank you for your inputs.

It's much better.
- I added a Directional Light
- I added the shadows (Detail: Very High  Shadows: High)

I didn't find the Ambience Occlusion, can you help with it?

On my workspace, I'm happy with the result:

Apply de same settings on my viewport and the quality isn't good, I need to increase the dpi of my Sheet Layer.

Workflow to Sheet Layer vs Final Render PDF
However, now every time I change something in the project, and need to check something on Sheet Layers I need to wait a lot of time to render all viewports.

Any way to get a "Preview FAST render" and when I export the viewports will render with the full quality?
What is the best workflow to do this?

TIPS

Can you give me more tips?
For example, the floor is nice to get a base for design.
However, if I use black, it's difficult to understand the fixtures because all of the equipments are black.

I tried other materials, the last one it's wood.
But want something better.
