camera class

What are best practices for assigning a class to a camera?  I assume the layer is the story layer or elevation that you are standing on in general but what about a class?  Do you all assign it to something like camera views or whatever?

I manually assign camera to a camera class. I have often wished for the ability to specify a class for cameras (and another objects) much like Focus Point Objects can be assigned to a class and graphic attributes assigned any insertion. There is a convoluted way to do this, but it doesn't survive any upgrade.

Hmmm,

I tend to create a camera, class it, choose my favourite settings (16:9 etc, 2d/3d and Name).

Then I make it a symbol with convert to plugin object checked. Then insert it as needed.

Then I don’t need to assign classes retrospectively.
