Delete 2023 version after downloading 2024

Hi everyone, I am regaining knowledge of Vectorworks since I last used it in 2012. I have now downloaded 2024 from 2023. Can I ask, once downloaded, do you delete the 2023 version from applications? Many thanks

You don't have to delete 2023, but if you know that you are only going to use 2024 you might want to to save space.

 

I still have 2020-2024 all installed.  I think I launched 2022 once and 2021 twice to check on differences.

 

But I usually just allow older files to upgrade as necessary to work on them in the current version.

 

If you don't have any old files then only 2024 should be fine, unless you have a workflow that has one of the showstopper bugs in 2024 Release 0.  Hopefully Release 1 this month will remove those.

Not sure what OS you are using, but — this may be obvious — first make sure that your computer & OS are compatible with 2024. If you are still using the same computer that could run 2012, there is a very good chance it will not be able to run 2024 — especially if you’re on a Mac.
