In VW 2023 SP5, the arrow menu in the upper right that controls the "Show Other Objects..." does not work consistently for me. Sometimes other objects are hidden when it is checked, sometimes it does not hide other objects when it is unchecked. In short, it seems to randomly hide or not hide other objects when checked/unchecked, making it unusable.
My solution is to fix it in the Preferences. Because the Document Preferences / Display does not have this control preference (which is where it should be) it is hard to change. Because the Vectorworks Preferences are buried under Tools (why "Tools"?) / Options / VW Preferences, it is very hard to find the preference...where it is under its own "Display" preference. It is a different problem, but Document Preferences and VW Preferences should be under the File menu stacked over each other, not buried in unrelated menus. In fact, they should be combined into one menu, with tabs for Document and VW Prefs.
But my big problem now is that the upper right arrow would be very useful as a quick way to accomplish these temporary visibility needs. If it worked, that is. For me, it doesn't. Am I doing something wrong or is this a known bug? It should would be handy.
