Ryan Russell
All, I'm trying to understand what should be done when you have an inside wall that is being bisected by a roof face. I built the roof, then added a face for the front section, and used the "select all connected objects" to have the walls snap to the roof. I am encountering an issue with the bisection of the roof face as it has an inside wall, and really needs an external wall on the face above the roof face. Is there an easy way to achieve this? - Ryan Russell Wall Roof Intersection Issue.vwx Quote Link to comment
Tom W.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Are you asking how you deal with having a wall which is gypsum-faced both sides which needs to extend above the roof line + therefore have a different finish on the exterior-facing side above the roof? If so, you could try dividing the wall into two sections, the lower part would be gyp both sides + the smaller upper part would be gyp on the inside + whatever the exterior wall finish is on the other side? This is fairly easily done with the Edit Wall Tool. 1 Quote Link to comment

line-weight
For the remainder of the life of the model, you can enjoy fun & games coaxing a join line between the two wall types back out of existence, each time it pops up uninvited on elevations etc. Quote Link to comment
