A way to make a variable Extrude - ¿ Use a PIO ?

You can pull through shape class textures by setting "Use shape classes" - see below. Each shape can have a different class.

Thanks; I have been trying that.

What seems to happen is that if a class has a texture assigned to it, then this comes through. If it has no texture assigned, but it does have a "fill" attribute assigned, this fill colour does not come through (it just appears white). This is different from what I expect from other tools ... for example a simple (non path) extrude. Or any basic solid.

Fill attribute error: That's an easy fix. I'll add to the next release when I fix the shape symbol bug (which worked in a previous release). Currently, the fill is taken from the class of the EP plugin instance.

I have updated the zip file (now "Extrude Tools install 231027.zip")

on my website at http://www.whwsolution.co.uk/vectorworks-extrude-path-tools/

to hopefully fix the install file bug. Can you give it a try.

Due to the failing Mac install, I suspect it might be an idea to manually delete from

the user plugins folder "...Plug-ins/Extrude tools" the following:

folder: WW Tools

VW files: Marionette EP Tools <VW version>.vwx

VW workspace: Architect EP Tools.vww

before a new install.

I don't think that's happening either, actually - changing the class of the EP instance doesn't seem to affect anything (with or without "use shape classes" ticked).

tried an install with the above, but got a similar error message I'm afraid.

Again, it seems like it did actually install everything ok though.
