3D Site Model is generating in a different location than the 3D polys that I used to generate it, why?

I'm trying to generate a 3D site model in Vectorworks. I selected the 2d polylines from the survey and converted them to 3d polys. I assigned a respective z height to each poly and then tried to generate the site model; however, the site model populated in a different location in the workspace away from the contours, why? This is confusing me, and any help would be appreciated!

When you run the 'Site Model From Source Data...' command make sure you are in Top/Plan view not a 3D view

did you move the original 2D Polys at all?
