I created a 3D site model from 3D poly contour lines in Vectorworks. I would like to use the site model to iterate and test designs on the site, and I am trying to create a building pad. After I create a building pad and update the site model, I can see the new topography; however, I can't seem to be able to select the building pad to edit it, change it, and iterate. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am trying to generate a 3D site model from a .dwg site survey. The contours are floating in space and unconnected. Is there a way to flatten these contours to the working plane?

I'm trying to generate a 3D site model in Vectorworks. I selected the 2d polylines from the survey and converted them to 3d polys. I assigned a respective z height to each poly and then tried to generate the site model; however, the site model populated in a different location in the workspace away from the contours, why? This is confusing me, and any help would be appreciated!
