How do I join framing to framing instead of framing to insulation?

Post the file if you like? You want the brown component in the internal wall to stop where the blue line is right?

 

You should be able to do this with Component Join Tool in Capped Join Mode (3rd mode).

 

And you should change the core component in the external wall to the insulated framing component, then the walls will join the way you want them from the off.

Set core to insulation in exterior wall, tick ‘rejoin components’ when exiting wall ‘should’ fix it unless this is a one off in which case component join tool.

 

question… is your external wall drawn the right way round with left side ‘outside’ and are the components entered top to bottom outside to inside?
