Change units to metric

Hi, probably a silly question, but since updating to vectorworks 2023 all my new drawings start with feet/inches as standard units. I know how to change it for a document, but surely it is possible to change it as a "forever" setting, so it opens as metric every time. I can't find it, but I believe someone here can tell me how to do that 🙂

Are you creating new files via File > New... > Create blank document? If so, if you create a new file with the unit settings you want then save it with the name 'Default.sta' in your templates user folder then this will be the file which will open each time you choose New > Create blank document.

 

Not sure why this would have changed from one version to the next.

 

Or you can save a file as a template with your preferred settings (File > Save As Template...) + open this each time you create a new document (File > New... > Use document template).
