Adding plants in sheet layer to correct size

I would normally do the planting plan in the design layer. This time I will have to do it in sheet layers instead.

How do I get the plants in the correct scale? They are massive when placing them in the sheet layer. 

The viewports in the sheet layer are in scale 1:50 respectively 1:100.

Wouldn’t it be easier to move your sheet layer stuff to a design layer and do it properly?

Sheet Layers are always at 1:1 scale.

 

If you need to do scaled things on a Sheet Layer, they have to be in a Viewport. Create an empty viewport and put your plants into the Annotation Group. You can set the scale of the Viewport to whatever you need. The Annotation Group will use that same scale.

 

Or as Jeff said, just do it on a Design Layer and use a Viewport to bring it to the Sheet Layer.
