Unified view is on by default in VW2023.  Please edit your signature to include your VW version and OS so we can easily see what version you are running.  Instructions in my signature.

If you are NOT on VW2023, and are using a custom workspace, it is possible that it was never added (though it has been around such a long time I can't really imagine that). Try one of the standard workspaces and see if you have Unified View there.

Definitely.

But I am not sure about the previous "ignore layers of other scale"

setting which went out of the Unified View Settings in VW 2023.

AFAIR I have seen that one time in VW Preferences (or File Preferences)

but did not find it later again and AFAIK it was ON by default (*).

If it is VW 2023, and it is about a migrated file from a previous VW Version.

a)

if that File had any "legacy 2D" specific settings like Unified View set OFF

(For whatever people needed this) or Screenplane only, in VW 2023 the

"2D legacy" Setting in VW 2023 Document Settings will be set to ON

automatically, to make the File look as in the previous Version.

Which means that you can access the old Unified View Setting from Top Bar.

But AFAIK it is not shown automatically anyway. You need to make the Icon

Visible from that little Arrow on the right, to show it in your Top Bar for access.

b)

if a current or migrated File in VW 2023 had no "legacy 2D" settings in it,

"2D legacy" setting in Document Settings is OFF and there is no access to

legacy things like Screen Plane or Unified View ....

In this case you can't even activate the Unified View Icon in Top Bar.

It is hidden. You could only access it by activating "2D legacy" features

in Document Settings first.

(*) Not sure but AFAIK, using different scales for your Layers would

cause problems when rotating your View in 3D.

Not sure if that default "ignore Layers of different scale" ON is intended

or already changed or just came from my file template ....

(BTW,

who ever wants or needs Layers of different Scale ? For Details ?

I personally would not mind if there is only a global Scale for all Layers at a time)
