Better access to Section Line Instances dialog
Tom W. posted a question in Wishlist - Feature and Content Requests
I would like to be able to right-click on a section viewport + have 'Section Line Instances...' as an option in the context menu. This would speed things up marginally. At the moment I have to click to select the VP, move the cursor over to the OIP, scroll down to find the 'Section Line Instances...' button, click it... A right-click option would be more immediate. Or how about blue disclosure arrows (or whatever they're called) for VPs, the same as we have for Data Tags + other objects? With a choice of commands/options pertinent to that VP, including Section Line Instances. (Possible that both of these things have been requested previously but I couldn't find them). -
Section lines that can bend, not just step
Christiaan posted a question in Wishlist - Feature and Content Requests
We need to be able to create Section Viewports by bending section lines rather than stepping them. Stepped section lines make for some very messy sections on some building shapes. -
Probably something very simple - there is a section line on sheets 2 & 3 that I can't find anywhere so I can get rid of it. I've moved the section lines around, and added sheets, so it could have been from one of those previously named/#'d. um - one more thing - why does my title block only show total # 6 sheets on 6/7 sheets? all the same title block, all activated. still trying to figure out title blocks, I am not getting it. thanks 59 ELGIN SUNROOM 2.vwx

STYLED SECTION-ELEVATION LINES TURN ALL AT ONE POINT TO 'UNSTYLED'
drelARCH posted a question in Troubleshooting
Hello vw community, Since introduction of section elevation line style I am continuously seeing some unpleasant behaviour: styled lines turn into unstyled ... accross all file. Are we aware of some bug that cause this issue? At some point in every file it always happens...and whenever i spot this just happend and want to replace back unstyled with styled line resource browser is empty of previously used section elevation style line....I have to bring that style anew from my library file ...strange My section lines are always present only in sheet layer viewports (section and horizontal section). I wonder if it has something to do with duplication of viewport with section line already present...? Is there something to be aware of...? @Matt Panzer has somebody already come up with this issue? Thanks in advance for your help. -
Section Lines. When using the Section Line tool in a design layer to create a section in a viewport the section lines also appear in the elevations and sections and 3D views. The section line has its own class. This class is turned off and display planar objects is unticked in the viewport and section line instances is also unticked for these particular viewports. They don't appear if the viewport is in hidden line but appear in Open GL and renderworks. I can't get rid of the section lines. Any help appreciated. Thanks

I've created a section viewport (loving the perspective ability by the way) and now I'd like to change where that section cuts through my building, maybe move it so its through the stairs for example. How do I do this? I've noticed with the interior elevation marker you can amend the 'cut lines' but I cant work out how to do this for the section, do I need to just create another section viewport, and keep doing so until I get the right view? I have attached an image of my section (might not be that useful) Thank you all.

Is it possible to have the section lines show up in a section viewport? I created a floor plan using 'Create Section Viewport' from the clip cube in order to be able to show the cut through the roof. I also have building sections set up and would like the section lines to show up in the aforementioned floor plan viewport. When i go to a section viewport for one of the building sections and select section line instances, the loft plan viewport is not listed. My work arounds are to either add the section lines manually using the Section Elevation tool and link them to their respective viewports. Or create a standard viewport as an underlay to the Section Viewport that contains the floor plan. The standard viewport could then contain the section line instances.
