  1. Agreed! An option to maintain current or return to a set Zoom pref or previous would be really helpful. Maybe a Toggle added to the Contextual/Right Click Menu.
  2. Agreed. Anything that gets attention on VW's "HELP"(?) is always a good thing. Needs some serious organisasion. Thanx for reminding me . . . .
  3. Agreed . . . Thing is, if the Fillet/Chamfer Tools ALWAYS worked as and when expected, with ANY radius, a "Wall Sculpting Tool" probably need never have had time spent on creating it in the first place . . . . . Resouces Saved.
  4. Forgive my ignorance Christiaan but doesn't this thread already cover this? http://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=34235&Number=168885#Post168885
  5. Agreed. Doesn't this fall in line with the age old wish that VW should Only redraw what has been modified and not the whole view/file/image etc. Different request, but surely connected . . . . .
  6. Sad to have to admit it, but i know what you mean. i always assumed that all aspects of CAD were designed to make TD (technical drawing, for those that started in the "digital age") easier, not more complicated . . . . .
  7. Yep! The First ever business prog on a computer was a database for Macs(well, Apple) . . . . . . and that's going back a bit.
  8. Dieter, Maarten, i had a good old rant about this on several occasions and the best way around it it to edit a copy of the Hybrid and remove all 2D components then you can do what you like with the remaining 3D component. Christiaan, we've been here before . . . . But look at the way Solidworks deals with it. No Hybrid, auto 2D from the view, magic of 3D.
  9. Can i also add to Vincent's List the "Eternally Half Baked" and never really finished, just included to preview what's going to be possible if they're ever completed:- Extrude Along a Path Loft Surface Multiple Extrude Tapered Extrude Shell Solid Chamfer Edge Fillet Edge Push/Pull i could go on . . . . . These all work, just about, if the request is simple, VERY simple, but after 20 years these Tools should be able to Sing and Dance AND Make the Coffee and take us for a quick vacation to the South of France while they are doing it without breaking a sweat! Nuf Said! Well for 5 Minutes anyway.
  10. On the Button Jershaun . . . . .
  11. Plus 1 for this annoying VW hickup! AND, Thanx to Benson and Chris for reminding me of the convoluted post post.
  12. Like Photoshop you can use the Keystrokes Spacebar+Cmd+Click (to Zoom in) or Spacebar+Cmd+Alt/Option+Click(to Zoom Out) or you could edit you WorkSpace and define a KeyStroke that suits what your used to . . . . . . Otherwise the "C" key selects the Tool then and the Alt/Option key toggles "In or Out". Andi
  13. Guys,you may be interested in a similar thread started about the same time . . . . . . http://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=34146&Number=168673#Post168673
  14. All very worthy requests Brian for specs of a tolerance tool that make perfect sense, my problem being that VW per se, struggles to meet the basic ability to remember what dim you give it. If once a fine tolerance is set, say +/- 0.5mm(with 1 decimal place selected) only to find that when checking the accuracy under 6, 8 or 10 decimal places the dimension has slipped to 0.42823751. This is particularly visible with 3D Objects and Symbols constructed from extruded 2D profiles developed with Added and Subtracted volumes that despite the base 2D object maintaining the precise required dimensions, by the time you reach the final model, the precision is lost, through no fault of errors. The deeper the nesting the greater the likelihood of lost precision. If a profile of 775.75 x 200 millimetres is drawn however irregular, when satisfied with the finished 3D design, one would like to be certain that it fulfills requirements and some poor shmuck   wont need to labour over the drawing for 5 days to get the accuracy up to scratch for production, whether it's miles or millimetres.
  15. Kevin, i'm all for simplifying and "Shortcuts", but surely if you remove the Toolbar Icons you'd then need a further keystroke to chose Duplicate or Rotate. After all they do serve(icons) as reminders as to which mode you're using. Good idea, but needs some work. Andi
  16. Dieter, not really sure i understand the "Why",(Textures, Fills, maybe) but perhaps "Graphic Converter" or something similar would be suitable for your needs. A "From Whatever, To Whatever" with a few other skills, edit too. Batch conversion? Stop-Gap til VW can do what you want . . . . . Andi
  17. Will, if by this you mean the object is pasted with the same coordinates and orientation that it was originally created in . . . . . Then Definitely!
  18. the possibility to chose would definitely be the best option.
  19. With what i grew up with Brian tolerance it's kept to 0.1mm less if poss, but yeah you can sometimes get sloppy with 0.2mm . . . .
