  1. Thanks for the help, attached. linetypes.vwx
  2. Thanks for the response. I spent 45 minutes tweaking the row height and changing every setting on the on the images tab without luck. Seems like whatever I do, the font won't exceed a set size and with the pixelation inherent in the image function, the linetypes are pixelated to the point of illegibility. Changes have effects on world based linetypes, but effects on page based linetypes are erratic.
  3. If I have a linetype set to page units, why doesn't it show up correctly in a worksheet? Is there something I should be doing in regard to "scale" my worksheet? I'm attempting to generate legends to match our drawings. Text in lines is illegible I've spent an hour this morning adjusting everything I can think to adjust.
  4. There is a check box to display or hide a crop boundary, I would appreciate the ability to "activate/deactivate" the crop, especially for references. My current workflow is to establish my crop, if I need to reference anything hidden by a crop - quite often architectural elements that extend beyond the building footprint - roof overhangs, balconies, etc. I have to cut my crop, adjust roof overhangs for updated architecture and paste in place. Simply being able to activate or deactivate the crop would be a timesaver.
  5. It seems like tags - new in 2019 may be able to address this, if you could add a field in the tag that offered the same pulldown viewport link?
  6. I have the same problem, the easy work around is to separate record selection from the individual data... if the second column after field value were divided a separate record pulldown plus a field pulldown that would likely be adequate.
  7. I'd appreciate the ability to preset and edit recurring elements easily. If a dialog popped up when first placing something like a scale, viewport, titleblock, etc. I'd like to assign it a standard/consistent class, throughout the project, overrides should be possible, with a notification that the item is being placed on a non-standard class and a check box to move all similar elements to that class. I've spent a lot of time checking classes through a sheet set to make sure viewport labels were showing up consistently, or had viewports not plot, because they were on a class that was invisible...
  8. Is there an easier way to do this. Right now I need these numbers to show in multiple viewports and different scales. Best workflow would be to place them on the model, so I don't have to make changes in multiple viewport annotations, but text scaling in viewports is awful... One would think that assigning a text style to them would mean they show up at the same size in any viewport, but that doesn't appear to be the case? Another option would be a smart tool linked to the hardscape or model that would automatically update if the elevation changes, then I could just place it in viewport annotation. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  9. I would like to be able to save and apply a section style to cover all related settings, rather than having to dig into advanced properties for each viewport.
  10. I'd appreciate the ability to right click to easily set a shortcut in the flyover override mode ctl+center wheel press+right click would set origin of flyover, maybe
  11. I would appreciate the ability to create a drainage network in a similar manner to an irrigation network. I've created records and tables for drainage structures and drain lines, but it would be nice if the "pipes" were connected to the structures in such a manner that adjusting an invert in/out could recalculate numbers like pipe length, slope, cover, etc. I would also like the ability to display a structure and line schedule associated with the network.
  12. Just created a record and worksheet that I added to my callouts and the worksheet doesn't read the records when I tried to reference or paste...
  13. It's easy to use simple extrudes for stone planks, steps, pavers a checkbox in OIP would be excellent so they revert to class style when in plan view - this should arguably be default behavior, rather than transparent wireframe?
  14. Incomprehensible that this hasn't been done. Placement of contour labels is inscrutable as well. I often have auto-generated labels on top of one another. I either need the ability to place labels manually/quickly - maybe pull a line and label those contours where the line touches them, or automatically - begin labeling a certain distance from the end of a contour and a specified distance apart, then I can manually adjust individual labels. Ideally I should be able to specify labels above or on the line, if labels are rotated in line with the contour, it's been my experience that they should always be rotated to read as if your looking up the terrain.
  15. I've just had this issue with a couple plant groups. Made their layer active and solved it. May be worth a try...
  16. I generally get the same error re parallel lines. I've checked that they are on the same class/layer, not sure what I'm doing wrong.
  17. I've been working in Vectorworks for several months, and generally very impressed. But I cannot get the Fillet tool to work... errors almost every time I try to use it. Any ides why these two lines won't fillet in any mode. one is an arc, the other a polyline.
  18. @Tim Olson I don't have any issues. I run VW full screen on the QHD display and leave the resource manager on the laptop display.
  19. @sbarnett I did some research before buying that seemed to indicate that it would take additional graphics power to drive the display instead of rendering, though I'd love a 4K display, I stuck with the FHD display. I do run a 2560X1440 QHD Dell display as a second monitor with no problems.
  20. Thanks for the research, I'm attempting to define a workflow that allows me to share grading, slabs etc. with an architect for inclusion in sections and 3d presentations for Design review. Any additional help would be appreciated.
  21. I have been using an Origin Evo15-S for the last 6 weeks. Win 10 Pro i7-8750 2.2 GHz 6-core 32 GB RAM GTX 1070 Max-Q So far things are good, renderings take some time, but Open GL is speedy, it's letting me explore a lot more 3D and rendering options. It will run as well as the desktops in the office, but the previous vendor hampered them with quadro cards.
  22. Is there a way to suppress display of the polygons in viewports other than planting, for instance I want the canopies to display for reference, but the polygons are adding extraneous detail that is interfering with a sleeving plan. I've tried leaving them on plant class and moving them to tag class, and freezing what seemed appropriate, with no luck.
