For me all these new tools need basic tutorials I have even followed the original subdivision video with little success it's ok showing all the very fast and slick videos but I still need a basic video to be able to understand all of the functions This is not a knock just asking for the 2 times table before progressing to the 12 times table

this has been imported straight into artlantis on all 4 wheels !!!!

i have just imported a turbosquid file into v16 but instead of the object being flat on the ground its turned it 90degrees so it sits on its side it a model of an etype jaguar this seems to happen on all the files i have tried

Is it not something to do with print set up I think if the page is set to,print at a1 you can show print page border o you can turn it of.

Tom I think you can switch this of on the OIP box have done this so I know you can do this.

If you don't need to modify the file in any way why not export it as a pdf. Or if you do need to modify export out as a .dwg or a .dxf

seems to happen when the objects grouped are extrusions and not flat shapes

i have grouped a few items to move them to another part of the drawing in one move however when i have tried to ungroup them cmd-u it doesn't i have to double click on the group to edit its like i have created a symbol however i haven't this never used to happen but has done lately

hi me again cant see a thing now but can still touch type try a reinstall .......may just solve the problem worth a try if that doesn't work is the job at archicad still vacant......

wow....i am sorry to hear of your problems.....i do get crashes but not to many these days....i was looking forward to upgrading to 2016 but wonder if i should stop with 2015 as i don't want to loose my eyesight.....i am just of to throw all my bottles of bleach away just in case though good luck there must be a solution to your problem i just hope VW can fix it and fix it quick....... regards

if i had a wall 3400mm high and set the eyedropper tool to paint the attributes to a wall that was 2500mm is there a way to bring the height to the 3400mm i have had a look eyedropper preferences but it only gives thickness and components but not the height.....

I got layered last night at least she had a touch of class .......

I tried that maybe I am not dimensioning the wall correctly I'll have a look for the markers you describe. Cheers all

hi wes its when i have dimensioned a wall in annotations on a viewport and then gone back into my design layer where the drawing was made say i have a wall 6m long on a design layer and then change it to 7m i then go back into my viewport where i had dimensioned the wall at 6m i thought that this would automatically update itself with the viewport so that it showed 7m on my viewport sheet

i have dimensioned a viewport using annotations....which if fine but i have then had to go back to the design layer and change some of the walls to different sizes when i go back into the viewport should the dimensions automatically update thanks

Hi pat Illustrator has layers so you can assign objects to a layer and then lock it so you can't make any changes I was working on a job today with a lot of walls they were assigned to a class but kept on picking the wall instead of another item....the I thought if I could have locked the wall class this would have alevited the problem I could have picked all the wall items and then locked them and then unlocked them but this would have taken an age as I had walls all over the place it was a complicated model.....I guess I could have turned the class of or greyed it out but I work so I can pick any item on any class or layer It was just a thought pat that with a simple right click you could lock the class or even the layer
