  1. I hope its ok to bump this. Thank you folks.
  2. Is there a tutorial or some such that discusses how to collaborate on a project with a Revit user? I have read some things here that seem to indicate some challenges, but are folks having reasonable success?
  3. Thanks, fellas. I just spent a couple hours looking a 'Data Tags' and am very impressed. How did I miss that all these years. It took less than an hour to convert a 3 story residential project to tags and get it to look like a desired. Fantastic! Thanks again. I started using VW back in '99 as a value add to my building an remodeling business, but for that environment, I didn't need much of what VW offers even back then. I am now semi retired and no longer building, but want to generate some revenue with drafting work. I've upgraded to Arch 2022 and having a blast getting up to speed and developing a portfolio of residentials as a tool for learning as I go. I realize firms have a hard time finding individuals proficient in VW, so after a time, I hope to leverage this. So much fun in the meantime. Thanks again.
  4. It seems that sometimes I can manage this by dragging and others I can't find a way to isolate and move the tag text and bubble further from symbol. 2022
  5. I found a texture with hatch included..thanks.
  6. Well what do ya know--it does not and I can't find one that matches the texture. White siding shakes. I can attempt to edit the texture and add a hatch, with none to match, not sure how that will work. I will give it a whirl.
  7. A search yielded this conversation, so might as well add to it: Arch 2022 latest update. I hidden line rendering all hatches properly showing but for a shakes siding hatch/texture. It shows up fine in 'Shaded'. I have made sure 'show hatches' is toggled on here and there.
  8. Thank you very much Tom...that did the trick. With those settings and tweaking light, I am able to get just what I was looking for.
  9. I just saw this and thank you--I will try that tomorrow! Now its time for some football. 🙂
  10. I run a mid 2011 27" iMac as my second monitor and the primary is a 5K 27" and it is very nice. I suppose it won't be too long before i go to some form of M1--at which point the older 27" may go away depending. Just waiting for the M1 situation to settle out. I stay behind at least a couple years. Heck, I've had macs before they were called macs. LOL The wife being a graphic artist helped.
  11. THese suggestions have given me stuff to play with, but as of yet--I haven't managed to achieve the desired result. I don't want the shading, but I do want shadows. I don't think I was clear about that. This is what I am looking for.
  12. Thanks--I will do that, but I have discovered much in the last few days.
  13. I am wanting a nice clean rendering with no color, just lines and hatches, etc. This screenshot is a VP-with background in 'shading' and foreground 'hidden line'. I have tried tweaking settings and can't seem to get a white image--I even switched on black and white only. Still get this. What am I missing?
  14. The website isn't working for me using Safari. 'I want this', doesn't activate.
  15. Just messin' with you. Thank you.
  16. Twice this morning working in a small residential project. First time while switching from a Renderworks render to Hidden Line---just flat crashed. Second time the bouncing ball that didn't resolve after 30 minutes, so I force quit. That time I was making a Viewport of a simple line elevation. Same file. I have 40g of ram--so it isn't memory. 2022 SP2 and version 12.1 (Mont)
  17. Wow! That would be awesome. I haven't written code in a long time, but it seems using existing bits and gathering relevant parameters and putting it together wouldn't be crazy hard. Next month?
  18. Thanks, Wes. I appreciate the response. The window catalogs are wonderful. Perhaps in the future the door situation will improve. Therma-Tru would be nice. 🙂
  19. Does anyone know if its possible to get expanded door catalogs from companies such as Andersen, Pella, Marvin, etc. I need my schedules to reflect real world choices. There are some choices at BIM Objects for Revit, but I have had no luck using these. Thank you for any help.
  20. PDFexpert allows you to group multiple PDFs into one PDF--Preview doesn't.
  21. With utilizing info derived in reports and schedules. I have only used them rudamentally. Does anyone know of a video that digs down deep in set of and then examples of the data used in sheets? Much appreciated. Architect 2022
  22. I do want to comment that being able to pull walls, roofs and slabs in order to significantly change a footprint is really slick and works wonderfully--until it doesn't. LOL
