lassepmr
Hey there, is there any way to export a Vectorworks project to PDF in a way so that certain objects I added remain editable (or at least movable/deletable) as standard PDF annotations, e.g. in software like PDF-XChange? This would be incredibly helpful. Looking forward to your answers! Lasse Quote Link to comment
Jeff Prince
Publish to PDF. Text in the resulting PDF can be edited as standard behavior, assuming you don’t do any crazy formatting or effects. FYI, if you use drop shadows on text, that won’t update, but the text will. If you adjust tracking to something other than 100, you may need to make some adjustments to your “character spacing” in your PDF editor. Quote Link to comment

Is it also possible to also save shapes (e.g. rectangles or polylines) as editable PDF annotations or just text? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Text is not being saved as an Annotation in the PDF. It is just being saved as a Text object that some PDF software allows you to somewhat edit. As far as I know there is no option for any VW objects to show as Annotations (editable or not) in a PDF. They are all in "document" space of the PDF. Quote Link to comment
