Curtain Wall insertion into CMU wall problem

Shortnort

Question

For some reason when I insert a Curtain Wall into a CMU wall, the CW doesn't punch into the wall.  The wall clips to it...

Any suggestions on fixing this?  I have never encountered this before, so it must be some setting somewhere that I am not aware of.

Ahm, a Curtain Wall is the same as a Wall, just a Wall.

You can't insert a Wall in a Wall.

It is even problematic if you stack Walls on top of each other on the same Layer

or Story.

As I most users would expect, you would like to be able to insert a Curtain Wall

into a massive Wall like a Window or Door.

Usually you need to create an opening in the standard Wall,

like by using a Window in Opening only mode or a cutting Symbol in Wall and such.

Then you place in a Curtain Wall.

But as we normally use Auto Wall connections, to avoid unwanted interactions between

Walls and "Curtain" Wall, you better pack the CW into a Group or Symbol.
