Matter.Memory
Hello, Maybe someone has had this issue... When I export my VW geometry either through Direct Link Auto Sync or as en exported file, the geometry upon import into Twin Motion is super jagged and unusable for rendering purposes. You can see it clearly in the distortion of the simple arcs of the seat walls that appear smooth in VW but are almost pixelated in TM. I have the settings on export set to "Very High". All softwares are Up to Date. Attached are screenshots, and I can upload files if that helps too. Thank you VW Community 🙂 Quote Link to comment
Matter.Memory
I have made sure that my: VW Document Settings set to 300 DPI. Mesh Smoothing is ON. 3D Render settings set to Very High. Geometry is still messed up in Twin Motion. Quote Link to comment
zoomer
It looks like the geometry is very far from VW origin. If yes, that could be a problem for overall resolution. I think you should notice that after import in TM, when you first have to zoom out and pan to reach your imported geometry. 2 Quote Link to comment
Matter.Memory
I reset origin by user settings and re-exported to TM but the geometry is still jagged. Thanks for the thought but still no dice 😞 Quote Link to comment

Matter.Memory
Pasting the geometry into a new file with a user set origin has helped reduce some of the "flickering" in the buildings but the geometry of the seawalls is still really messed up (see attached screenshot). Is it maybe something I am doing wrong in VW? I simply extruded the 2D form of the seat wall, nothing fancy. Thanks, Chris Quote Link to comment

Post a VWX file and I can take a look at it in a bit. Quote Link to comment
Matter.Memory
Simplified version the file attached. Thank you! Husson Terrace 4.0.vwx Quote Link to comment
Jeff Prince
@Matter.Memory I imported your file into Twinmotion using the direct link method and experienced the same problem as you. While inspecting your Vectorworks file, I noted that your seat walls and caps were made with a single extrude respectively. That's generally not a good idea. Extruding each seat wall and cap separately resolves the issue. Note the image below were I simply copied the path for one of the caps, placed it on a new class with an orange color and extruded it. New geometry is smooth, your old stuff is rough. Hope it helps. note the or 3 Quote Link to comment
