Nemetschek North America Announces VectorWorks Architect 12

Vastly improved building elements, including doors, windows, roofs, stairs and cabinets provide an extensive number of new design capabilities. Accessing third party libraries has improved through new DXF/DWG enhancements, which also makes sharing files with consultants and colleagues easier. Other improvements include support for 3ds, a file format used widely for web-based 3D geometry libraries. There?s an easier-to-use and faster Digital Terrain Modeler for site analysis. Finally, designing and presenting in 3D is better than ever with RenderWorks radiosity.

I will be ordering today, but will it be possible to test drive 12 while finishing current projects in 11.5? Or will 12 erase or inactivate 11?

You can use VW 11 docs in VW 12. To go backwards, the files will need to be exported from VW 12 to 11 using the Export command in the file menu.

Likewise, you'll be able to use VW and 11 concurrently on the same computer.

You will not permitted to run VW 11 on computer A and VW 12 on computer B (as with any past versions).

Hi, having purchased the new dual-intel iMac I was disappointed not to be able to open my VW v11.5 on this machine. Does anyone know if this is a DONGLE problem or if it is a fact that VW 11.5 is not running on Rosetta?
