John Windswept Design
A multiple view elevation sheet using the modle view tool gives a confused shadeing patteren. Each model view has its own light source and shines on the others. Is there a way to have one light source shading? Regards John T Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
This was covered in an earlier post by another user that I can just recall. It was suggested that for each Viewport you create separate light source(s) in the model with separate classes so that the correct light source(s) could be 'switched on' in the viewport. Hence each elevation view could have its shading in a consistant direction. I thought it was a very good lateral thinking solution and I am grateful to the person who thought of it. John Windswept Design
But these are modelviews not view ports and the are on one layer ?? Quote Link to comment
jfmarch
you will have to organize your model layers and classes accordingly if you are going to use a model layer for multiple viewports. that's one good thing about them- you can control individual classes and layers in each viewport. maybe set up light sources as seperate classes like Lights-North' for the north elevation, or something like that. by the way, this might be the post mike m is referring to: http://techboard.nemetschek.net/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=16;t=001142 hope this helps...
