mdilday
I continue to get the following message while I am working on a file. "VECTOR~1.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. I am running vector works V9.1 architect on a WIN2k system. Quote Link to comment
mdilday
There is no typical operation that I am doing when this occurs.I have both the mechanical and silkscreen files for a 19" chasis panel open while running vector works. The last time this occured I was changing test size in the silkscreen file. jnr
I'm using Architect 9.01 win2k 512m ram p4. I am also getting indiscriminate errors as well. I can't find a pattern, however it seems to occur the most frequently when reshaping walls. Any ideas? Please don't tell me to turn down the hardware acceleration either. Quote Link to comment
mdilday
jnr, How does one "turn up the hardware acceleration"?What does this do to a system? Quote Link to comment
jnr
Go to my computer/properties/performance/graphics. You have four choices. the further to the left you go, the fewer the conflicts, the slower the video. The company's standard answer for problems with 8.5.2 was to turn down the accleration. The other avenue has been to set the virtual memory equal to the ram loaded on the machine. I don't know if changes in the code in 9.01 still make these useful avenues to pursue, but it might help. good luck Quote Link to comment
jnr
Oh and one more thing. The directory I just gave you is for win 98. I'm not at my win 2k machine, but Bill Gates put it in there somewhere... Quote Link to comment
