JMSarch
Hi All, I've inherited a file and I want to change the class attributes for 'None' and turn on 'use at creation' without changing all the objects already in the drawing. How can I do this? I recall there was a notification that used to pop-up asking if this should apply to 'all objects' or something similar but once this gets turned off, I'm not sure how to turn it back on? Anyone know how to resolve this? Thx. Quote Link to comment
markdd
You can restore dismissed warning dialogs by going to User Preferences and under the settings tab click on Reset Saved Settings. This is a bit of a blunt instrument as it will reset all of your saved settings and not just that particular dialog. But hopefully it will solve your issue. Quote Link to comment
JMSarch
Thank you. I will give this a try. Quote Link to comment
JMSarch
OK, so that did not work. The message did not come back and everything on the class was changed. Quote Link to comment
markdd
When you pressed the reset button did you get a dialog asking you to check two boxes? As long as you check 2nd one, then all the warning dialogs that have been marked as such will be returned. Quote Link to comment
JMSarch
I did not get this dialogue box. I'm on an iMAC, does that make a difference? Quote Link to comment
markdd
Shouldn't make a difference. Did you get the warning dialog when you changed the Class attributes setting? Quote Link to comment
JMSarch
No, it just changed them. Quote Link to comment
markdd
I can't explain why the dialog didn't return I am afraid. It is meant to. It always has done in my experience. Your copy of Vectorworks is quite old and there may be a bug that has now been fixed. Quote Link to comment
JMSarch
OK, thx. anyway. I'm on VW2019. Sounds like I need to review my user settings. Quote Link to comment
Boh
Maybe the none class objects changed without notification because the objects were already using by class attributes? Quote Link to comment
