Hugo
How can I divide an oval into segments, as I can do with lines, circles and arcs? Thank you, Hugo [ 09-30-2005, 04:06 PM: Message edited by: Hugo ] Quote Link to comment
APE Design Ctr
Can you create a circular array of lines revolving around the centre point of the oval, then use the split tool? Eddie Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Hugo has a point - the Arc into Segments Drafting Aid should work on Ellipses as well as Arcs and Circles. Quote Link to comment
ErichR
A bit off the topic, but turns out the 'elipse' tool only creates ovals. Quote Link to comment
C. Andrew Dunning
Hugo - Though VW won't do it, if this is something you are needing, let me know the dimensions of the ellipse and I'd be happy to generate the arcs for you. I've got an old script for GeneriCADD that converts ellipses to their "approximations" using either 4 or 8 arcs. Quote Link to comment
Hugo
C. Andrew, Thank you very much. I already took my time and divided the oval, but I appreciate your help. VW should add this feature in future releases... Quote Link to comment
