Automatic pop-up with most used/common commands/operations

Art V

Question

It would be nice if Vectorworks could have an equivalent of the "quad cursor" in BricsCAD.

For those not familiar with that, it is a pop-up window that automatically comes up when hovering over an object (selected or not) showing the most common commands/operations for such an object so that you are just one or two clicks away from the commands/operations. If there are more than 4 command/operation options you can click on them to see additional commands/operations of the same category (e.g. 3D modeling or annotations/dimensions, 2D editing etc.). It even "learns" which command/operation you usually choose in a category so after  a few times it will show that one first and then the other options. It can improve efficiency quite a bit when implemented/used properly, especially if you can customize it with commands/operations like in their quad cursor.

A video of this (from 2013) that gives a good basic idea of it: BricsCAD Quad Cursor

It has been expanded/improved over the years

I would also like a VW Quad.

But we aren't that far ahead from it.

The context sensitive RMB Option Menue already does a lot.

After rearranging and adding my most used Tools to both

option Menus, it nearly works that way for me.

Beside that I think I will forever be an notorious Toolbar Icon Clicker.

As long as these are at the right position on screen.

I needed at least 2 years to finally get used to the Quad.

Now I somehow like to use it.

What I like about the VW or other RMB Option Menus is that everything

stays at the same place to be found again and it only appears when you

need it by a cheap RMB click.

That's where the highly dynamic Quad needs so much of my attention.

I also like those pie menu like head up displays that you find in common 3D Apps.

As alsoe everything stays at is place and so in muscle memory.
