Ray Libby
Why does the fillet and trim mode of the fillet tool leave lines at the corner it should delete? It seems to be on both rectangles and lines, with no pattern that I can see. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
it shouldn't leave lines. you don't have duplicate objects do you? Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
No duplicates. Here is an example: http://www.raylibby.net/vwdump/filletandtrim.mcd When I fillet the 3rd angle lines are left. Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Ray the answer is pretty simple. - Your two vertical lines are 1/2" apart and are joined by a 1/2" long horizontal line - Your first 1/4" fillet shortens the horizontal line to 1/4" - Your second 1/4'' fillet will only work on the remainder of the horizontal line. - As this would in theory make the remainder 0" or no line at all it appears to be defaulting to filleting to the opposite hand of what you want and therefore leaving the 1/4" line as it was. It shouldn't do this and I am sure the NNA people will look at it and adress the issue for a future release. Quote Link to comment
